By James Brown
The Los Angeles Lakers won on Saturday night the game against the Indiana Pacers to become the first-ever In-Season Tournament champions, and D'Angelo Russell got some kind of payback against Bruce Brown, who trash-talked LA after winning the NBA title with the Denver Nuggets, now part of the Indiana Pacers.
After the Lakers defeated the Pacers, D'Angelo Russell had some savage comments on Bruce Brown, saying that he trash-talked all summer but isn't with Jokic anymore.
Audio has now leaked of D'Lo talking trash to Brown during the final game of the IST, which shows how much he wanted to have a payback against the former Nuggets star, now a Pacer.
Russell said "N**** talk too much," to which Brown said "I can talk, swap y'all a** last year," but D'Lo continues "Walk your a** down," Brown then replied "Watch when I come back," to what Russell said to end the exchange: "Come back and shoot them out of the game."
Russell had 13 points, seven assists, one steal, and one block on 6-of-15 shooting from the field. The Lakers guard had some strong words for Brown after the contest. “He was talking s— all year,” Russell told the Los Angeles Times. “Yeah. Talking s— all year. For me, it was just showing it with my play. I don’t have anything to say to him. I’m a fan of him, to be honest. This was just all on the court. Got something to say? Show me on the court. [Nikola] Jokic ain’t there next to you today. It’s different.”
