The LA Sparks started with the right foot regular season; this was the standout

In what became a whole party at the Crypto.com Arena this Friday night for the Los Angeles Sparks on their season opener debut, the team ended with the win and started the campaign with a 1-0 record.

The best player of the night became Nneka Ogwumike, who scored 17 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Ogwumike had previously presented a Sparks Jersey to Vice President Kamala Harris.

The Sparks fandom is enthusiastic after the win and excited about what will come. The season opener couldn't go better for the team.

Magic Johnson was at the Crypto.com Arena for the LA Sparks debut

The Lakers legend was present for the Sparks win and wrote, "There were a lot of Laker greats and basketball royalty in the building for the game, including Byron Scott, Michael Cooper, Robert Horry, Pau Gasol, Lakers Head Coach Darvin Ham, USC women's basketball head coach Dawn Staley, and Jim Jackson. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and tennis great and Hall of Famer Billie Jean King came to support our Sparks, and the most decorated American track-and-field athlete in Olympic history, Allyson Felix, was also in the building!"
