A Lakers legend picks Damian Lillard over superstar Stephen Curry

Shaquille O'Neal is not only one of the most dominant players the NBA has ever seen, but he is also known for his strong opinions and hot takes, and his latest one is sparking controversy.

During the most recent episode of the "Big Podcast with Shaq," the Lakers legendary big man said that he would prefer to play with Damian Lillard rather than Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors superstar, during clutch situations because he believes Lillard is a better standstill shooter.

This will probably not be taken right by Curry's fans and the superstar himself, as they are known to be some of the most passionate about the Golden State Warriors guard.

"The game-winner: You're gonna throw it to Steph or you're gonna throw it to Dame? And I hate to even answer this question. Know them both, respect them both, and love them both. But sometimes when things are answered like this and they go viral, people take it personally and it'll never be personal with me. Steph is the best shooter, but Dame time is clutch at that shot. Damn. I'mma to go with Dame Lillard," said O'Neal.

Shaquille O'Neal makes it clear that Curry is the better player

For O'Neal, Stephen Curry is the best player of the two but he will trust more on Lillard to have the winning shot. At least, that's the opinion of the Lakers legend. Recently also Curry sparked a debate on who is the best PG of all time, as he chose himself over Magic Johnson, many believe the showtime era legend is still better, but the star himself said the numbers and stats don't lie, especially the number of championship titles.
