Steph Curry and LeBron James

LeBron James and Stephen Curry are often considered to be two of the greatest players in NBA history with the Lakers superstar often being considered to be the GOAT in a debate that has him battling with Michael Jordan for that spot.

But the reality is that with James and MJ being of different eras a face-off wasn't able to happen, still, the Lakers star has been able to be part of the biggest rivalry of the modern era, and his games against Steph Curry will never be forgotten.

On Saturday night, even when we are in January in the middle of the regular season, both superstars gave a performance for the ages in what has now been dubbed the best game of the year by far.

After LeBron led the Lakers to get the win, he reflected on his history with Curry and said he would love to relive the tales with his future grandkids, via Spectrum SportsNet:

“It’s something I’ll be able to talk about with my grandkids, talk about being able to compete with one of the greatest players to ever play the game,James said. “So hopefully I can be cool with my grandkids at that point, for sure.”

What LeBron James said about what Curry's meant for his career

James acknowledged that he's not taking anything between him and Curry for granted: “Like I said, it’s a treat to go against one of the greatest that’s ever played this game. For us to continue to push each other at this stage of our careers, you don’t take it for granted because there’s not many more times you’re gonna get the moment to be on the same floor as him. Special talent, so it’s been a treat so far in my career.”
