Austin Reaves opened up about the Lakers present atmosphere with a 3-game losing streak

The situation for the Los Angeles Lakers has been far from ideal, especially considering the team's achievements last season and the efforts made by GM Rob Pelinka and the organization during the offseason. However, Coach Darvin Ham opted to abandon continuity, resulting in the Lakers now holding a losing record.

Following the team's disastrous loss to the Miami Heat, where they only managed to score four 3-pointers and committed 21 turnovers, with two starters like Cam Reddish and Taurean Prince underperforming and failing to score a single point, Austin Reaves addressed the team's atmosphere in the post-game press conference.

Reaves commented on the vibe in the Lakers locker room, stating, "Shitty, we're losing. Anytime you lose, the vibe should be off. If we go in there and the vibe wasn't off, then I'd be concerned. I don't expect us to be happy with how we've played."

The Lakers guard also discussed the team's chemistry, saying, "We've talked about finding that chemistry and togetherness, so now we just have to figure it out; that's really it."

Austin Reaves avoided pointing fingers at anyone

Austin Reaves clarified his statement about the vibe, saying, "When I say the vibe is off, it's not like we don't like each other...Everybody in the locker room gets along. When the frustration of losing wears off a day or two later, the vibe is good being around one another." Reaves also discussed the team's changing starting lineups, emphasizing, "Regardless of whatever lineup we put out there, we've got to get off to a better start."
