Despite the Los Angeles Lakers getting a huge win this Thursday night against their historic biggest rival the Boston Celtics, without their superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis, there was one big casualty, Jarred Vanderbilt left early because of an injury.
And while earlier today it was revealed the positive news that the X-rays were negative, the newest update isn't positive at all, as the forward won't be available for coach Ham to use in upcoming games.
Via ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski: "ESPN Sources with Dave McMenamin: Lakers F Jarred Vanderbilt is expected to miss several weeks with a right foot injury. Further evaluation is expected to see if it’s an injury that might keep him out even longer."
This continues to add to the already injury crisis the team has been going on all season long. This Thursday night, the Lakers had four of their key players out, as AD and LeBron sat out the contest, also Cam Reddish and PG Gabe Vincent continue to be out without a returning date.
With Vanderbilt now about to miss significant time, for an extended stretch, it's about to become a major negative for the team, especially since they have had lots of trouble getting more than a few games over .500 all season.
