The Los Angeles Lakers have been struggling this season, they even have a losing record of 20-21 at the midway point of the NBA 2023-24 season but they were able to show again they have championship potential on their Monday night game against the OKC Thunder.

This campaign, the Lakers have shown two faces, during the In-Season Tournament games and other few contests, the purple and gold have looked impressive, but in other games, they have been playing terribly, especially the role players.

Anthony Davis and LeBron James have been giving some of their best performances since they won the 2020 NBA title in the bubble, but the rest of the team hasn't been on the same level for the most part.

Against OKC Thunder they looked great and on today's FS1 'Undisputed' Skip Bayless got praise to LeBron James and the Lakers and believes they have championship potential if they can find this kind of consistency.

The Lakers are only doing one game better than last season

It's not much but the Los Angeles Lakers are 20-21 at the midway point of the season, one game better than last season's 19-22 before the now famous moves in the trade deadline. AD had 27 points, 15 rebounds and five assists. LeBron James had 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists.
