Following the reports of the Lakers locker room being disconnected with coach Darvin Ham, the NBA insider Jovan Buha spoke on a podcast about the team's front office warming on the idea of firing their head coach if bad results continue to happen in the season.

Immediately, different names started to come out as possible candidates if coach Darvin Ham got fired, with two being considered the frontrunners, even when nothing had happened.

One of them is the already Lakers assistant coach Phil Handy and fans were excited about it, but the other candidate became Doc Rivers, an experienced and a former champion but he is now taken.

With information via TNT and CNN, the Milwaukee Bucks have landed Rivers. With this move, the Bucks continue to be a favorite contender, the Lakers are still stuck with Darvin Ham for the rest of the campaign and now no longer have the Rivers option available in case they need a head coach replacement.

Following the reports on the Lakers warming on the idea to fire Ham, the Lakers governor and owner revealed to have sent a lengthy supporting text message to the head coach to show her support and rectify him as the team's coach.
