Los Angeles Lakers have been struggling ever since they won the In-Season Tournament, but Anthony Davis has been one of the most consistent players all season, he has been snubbed before for winning the Defensive Player of the Year Award, but this campaign he should be one of the top runner-ups.

The NBA media has been selling the narrative of Anthony Davis being a fragile and inconsistent player since he and the Lakers won the 2020 NBA title, and for the most part, it has been that way, still, the player has been the best defender and hasn't got the attention nor the awards he deserves.

Last season Anthony Davis was not only the best defensive player but the best overall player and should've been part of the MVP conversation, but he didn't get that praise and neither did win the DPOY award, which went to the Grizzlies' JJJ who was destroyed by the Lakers star.

This year, the Lakers have been struggling but Anthony Davis has been consistently good and should deserve to win the DPOY he could be finally winning it as there's a recent video that shows how great AD has been defensively this year despite the recent loss to Miami Heat.
