The win against the Oklahoma City Thunders had the LA Lakers fans delighted by seeing one of the best starting lineups this season be starting, despite the update as many NBA insiders reported Ham was going to use last season's playoffs starting five but at the last minute it didn't happen.

Darvin Ham said the lineup he was going to start within the contest vs. the OKC Thunder is going to stick for upcoming games. Fans were excited when read that the lineup was going to be D'Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, LeBron James, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Anthony Davis.

That lineup is the one that ended last regular season and made it to the WCF in the playoffs, instead, coach Ham sent into the starting lineup Taurean Prince instead of Jarred Vanderbilt.

While Prince played 33 minutes, including closing the game, only scoring a 3-pointer in all night, Jarred Vanderbilt looked like his last season self, fully recovered giving an outstanding performance on the defensive end, scoring 5 points, 2 more than Prince in much less playtime as Vando was on the floor only 18 minutes. Vando for Prince is the change in the starting lineup that Coach Ham still needs to make.

The Lakers are only doing one game better than last season

It's not much but the Los Angeles Lakers are 20-21 at the midway point of the season, one game better than last season's 19-22 before the now famous moves in the trade deadline. AD had 27 points, 15 rebounds and five assists. LeBron James had 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists.
