At 39 years old, playing his year 21 in the NBA, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James continues to this day to be the face of the league, the best player on the team, and the leader, and he is focused on getting his fifth championship ring.

With the recent struggles the team is facing and LeBron's cryptic message, James posted an hourglass emoji on Twitter, an NBA insider broke the news that he is hearing the star is close to being traded from the Lakers to another team.

But now LeBron's agent and close friend Rich Paul has put those rumors and reports to rest. "LeBron won't be traded, and we aren't asking to be," Paul said in reaction to some growing speculation about James' future ahead of next week's trade deadline.

LeBron James will become a free agent at the end of this season, and with his frustration clearly growing, many people in the media and among the fanbase have believed the start wanting to jump to a contending team, but now Paul has stated James won't be leaving LA.

The Lakers beat the Celtics without LeBron James and AD

The LA Lakers got a key win against the Boston Celtics, a victory that will help to get momentum after many struggles and uncertainty, with Austin Reaves giving a career-high performance from 3, scoring seven shots from distance and stepping up in the absence of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The whole team showed what they are capable of besides being called an awful roster without depth. The team was shorthanded with four absences and Vanderbilt leaving early due to an on-game injury.
