Earlier this week, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelbourne dropped the bomb on the Golden State Warriors and Philadelphia 76ers attempting a move at the NBA's trade deadline for the LA Lakers superstar LeBron James.
With LeBron James set to become a free agent this summer, new reports by ESPN's Zach Lowe have the Warriors attempting again in the next offseason to land the 39-year-old superstar, despite recent comments by James agent Rich Paul who revealed the King is committed to LA.
“You can’t blame the Warriors for trying, and I’ll tell you this," said ESPN's Zach Lowe," I don’t think the Warriors are done trying because like Steph [Curry] said, why not pick up the phone and keep on trying?”
The Warriors are having their worst season in a long time after they built a Dynasty and won the 2022 NBA championship title. The Warriors have been mixed up in all kinds of trade rumors this season, and the latest one has drawn a connection to the Los Angeles Lakers. As 39-year-old LeBron James faces increasing pressure to win a championship, the Warriors believe they are the best place for him to win at this stage of his career.
Despite attempts to trade for the 4x champion, the Warriors failed to make it happen and both teams went past the deadline without a single trade. But as a potential free agent this summer, the Warriors will have another opportunity to sign LeBron shortly and they are almost sure to keep making their pitch until the last possible moment. The Lakers are set to land a third superstar to team up with AD and LeBron, plus are considering adding Bronny James to the roster to keep the superstar happy.
