The Los Angeles Lakers have some priority targets to make a trade for in the current market ahead of the deadline, and with the team currently struggling it's becoming key that a move for a good role player becomes a reality for GM Rob Pelinka.

Recent reports have Pelinka sighting Dejounte Murray and NBA champ with the Denver Nuggets now playing for the Toronto Raptors Bruce Brown. The two players have been reported as the priorities for Pelinka.

But regarding Bruce Brown, it won't be easy as a couple of new suitors have emerged who will be looking to land the NBA champion. According to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto and Yahoo Sports’ Jake Fischer the Dallas Mavericks and Milwaukee Bucks are two more teams that have interest in Brown.

The Mavericks were linked to Siakam, so maybe they give the Raptors a call for Brown. He would be the perfect type of role-player to complement Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. The Mavericks could be looking to bolster their roster ahead of the playoffs.

The Lakers are getting closer to trading for Hawks guard Dejounte Murray

This intel comes in light of a report from The Athletic’s Sam Amick that the Lakers have inched closer to making a trade for the 27-year-old. Murray has arguably been the second-best player on the Hawks so far during the 2023-24 regular season, behind only Trae Young. He has yet to sit out a game for Atlanta this season and is averaging 21.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game while shooting 46.8 percent from the field and 38.7 percent from deep.
