The rumors and reports that have the Los Angeles Lakers in constant negotiations with the Atlanta Hawks to land via trade the guard Dejounte Murray and even a possible framework for it has been revealed by an NBA insider but the player could've hinted another team as his potential landing spot.

NBA insider from The Athletic Jovan Buha, has reported that for the Lakers in order to land Dejounte Murray they will be sending players D'Angelo Russell, rookie Jalen Hood-Schifino, a 2029 first-round pick, and additional draft compensation.

But it seems that the guard has another plan as he has hinted at the possibility of landing in Miami, earlier today, Murray showed off the retired Heat jerseys on his latest IG post.

This post has made Lakers fans speculate that Murray won't be becoming a purple and gold and that all the reports have been just smoke. Still, others point out that the Hawks will be facing the Miami Heat and Murray is just showing respect.

A cheaper point guard option has been revealed for the Lakers to land in the trade deadline

Dejounte Murray isn’t the only guy Rob Pelinka and Co. have their eye on, though. “Another guy you look to is Collin Sexton,” McMenamin noted. “[He is] 25 years old, athletic, competitive, averages about 17 points and four assists a game. More of a combo guard but certainly someone that has ties to the Lakers in the sense that his agent Rich Paul represents LeBron James and Anthony Davis.”
