It seems that this season for every great win the LA Lakers the team then has a major absence as the injuries haven't left the group alone. Now that Jarred Vanderbilt is set to be out for several weeks, things aren't looking bright for the team and need to be addressed.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that “Jarred Vanderbilt will undergo more extensive consultation in the coming days on his mid-foot area to determine the full extent of the injury and whether a season-ending procedure could become necessary.”

With this absence, three of the Lakers POA defenders are now out as Vando is out for multiple weeks, Gabe Vincent remains out for multiple weeks and Cam Reddish is another player out for multiple weeks.

Max Christie is the only POA defender left the Lakers front office led by GM Rob Pelinka needs to address this by getting someone like Royce/DFS using the 15th spot if necessary. The trade deadline is quickly approaching.

With Vando out, Dejounte Murray should stop being a priority

Many reports have Dejounte Murray as the front office's main focus ahead of the trade deadline, but with Jarred Vanderbilt's injury, the situation has changed. The Lakers have to go out and get a POA wing defender. DFS, Royce, someone of that style. That should be the priority now.
