One more loss for the LA Lakers have them in the 9th seed with a 30-27 record, but they need to recover fast and tonight will be the best opportunity for it as they will be hosting against the San Antonio Spurs, arguably the worst team in the league this campaign.
Despite having some momentum before the All-Star break, it seems that the rest did the opposite of helping the team, instead, the group lost another two players as Christian Wood and LeBron James sat out of the game at Golden State.
The team lost by a blowout to the Warriors but tonight will have a new opportunity to start turning things around, D'Angelo Russell has sent a message to focus one game at a time, the loss is now in the past and the team needs to beat tonight the Spurs.
"One game at a time, never too high, never too low." Said D'Angelo Russell following the loss to the Warriors and now the group is looking to face the Spurs tonight with the probable return of LeBron James.
The goal is clear for LA, to make it to the playoffs, and they have the goal to avoid what happened last season when they had to be in the Play-In Tournament to then have a deep run in the playoffs. This time around, they have a better team and should be making it without the Play-In but multiple injuries have been a big obstacle.
