Last year's Lakers' top signing traded, now signed with contending team

The Los Angeles Lakers had last year's point guard Patrick Beverley their biggest offseason signing, which was truly disappointing for many fans as Pelinka had promised a big name and a blockbuster trade, and never happened.

LA started last season with Patrick Beverley and Russell Westbrook as part of the team's roster which became a disaster as the team started with a 2-10 record and had to make some trades in the deadline to move them.

Pat Bev was all talk and no action for the team, still, he has been able to arrive in strong teams. After being traded by LA last season, the point guard played for the Chicago Bulls. Then in the offseason was signed by the Philadelphia 76ers.

This year, at the trade deadline, Pat Bev has just been traded to the Milwaukee Bucks, one of the strongest teams in the Eastern Conference and a serious contender for the NBA title with players like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. Bev recently said on his podcast that the Lakers wasted him and Westbrook and now both players are in contending teams.

After making no moves by the trade deadline, the Lakers are now focused on the buyout market

The Los Angeles Lakers are among the front runners to sign guard Spencer Dinwiddie when he clears waivers, sources tell ESPN. The 30-year-old L.A. native averaged 12.6 points and 6.0 assists for BKN this season.
