Netflix had a big success with their docu-series NFL "Quarterback," and now is looking to replicate that success by making a docu-series this time with some NBA stars and they have picked LeBron James among them.

With information via NBA insider Shams Charania: "Sources: Netflix is creating a new NBA documentary series modeled after its NFL "Quarterback" show. The five players chosen for the first season of the project: LeBron James, Jayson Tatum, Jimmy Butler, Anthony Edwards, and Domantas Sabonis."

Charania also added that LeBron James will be involved with his production company: "James' SpringHill Company, Barack Obama's Higher Ground Productions, and Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions have teamed up to produce the series -- which has begun taping."

LeBron James keeps showing that at 39 years old and his year 21 in the NBA he continues to be the face of the league despite many stars coming and gone. James is already the most popular NBA player and this will only increase his worldwide appeal.

The Lakers also signed a multiyear trading card deal

Lakers star LeBron James has signed a multiyear trading card deal with Fanatics Collectibles. James had been with Upper Deck. He and Bronny James signed a one-of-one card that releases Jan. 19.
