It was recently revealed that the Golden State Warriors actually pursued the LA Lakers superstar LeBron James at the trade deadline following the cryptic emoji hourglass tweet of the forward only to find out LA's front office isn't thinking of trading him and the King wishing to stay via his agent and friend Rich Paul.
At the NBA All-Star break, LeBron revealed he found out at the same time as everyone else as the front office and his agent kept him in the dark.
"I actually heard about it when everybody else heard about it," James said. "Sometimes there's conversations that happen behind closed doors that you don't even know about. And I guess until it's real or not, then they'll bring it to you. But it never even got to me."
At the All-Star event, Draymond Green, who is one of LeBron's closest friends and one of the biggest stars in the Warriors spoke about playing alongside his friend at Golden State.
To everyone's surprise, Green said on Live TV that he wouldn't trade Jonathan Kuminga for LeBron James. As Charles Barkley pointed out, someone like Kuminga is exactly who the Lakers would ask for in such a deal so if he is off the table, the deal almost definitely isn’t happening. It’s understandable why Green would be hesitant to give up such a promising young player for what would be a short-term addition in James.
