The LA Lakers stood pat in the NBA's trade deadline and after that, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelbourne revealed the Warriors wanted to make a trade with the purple and gold for LeBron James to team him up with Stephen Curry.
Another team that also inquired about the Lakers superstar was the Philadelphia 76ers, but LA's front office alongside James' agent Rich Paul was quick to say he isn't tradable and will be staying in LA.
Now the Lakers superstar himself at the NBA All-Star weekend revealed that he actually found out about it at the same time as the rest of the world. He once again says he is focused on LA.
"I actually heard about it when everybody else heard about it," James said. "Sometimes there's conversations that happen behind closed doors that you don't even know about it. And I guess until it's real or not, then they'll bring it to you. But it never even got to me."
"I am a Laker and I'm happy and been very happy being a Laker the last six years and hopefully it stays that way," James said. "But I don't have the answer to how long it is or which uniform I'll be in. Hopefully [it] is with the Lakers. It's a great organization, so many greats. But we'll see."
