Despite the many struggles the Los Angeles Lakers continue with their plans of contending for the NBA championship title, for that, the front office is working hard on making moves by the trade deadline that can help turn things around just like they did last year.
While most of the rumors and reports are focusing on the Lakers targeting a guard ahead of the trade deadline with names being tossed around like Dejounte Murray and Zach LaVine. A new report has the Lakers also looking to strengthen the Center position.
The Lakers have considered trading for Andre Drummond to potential matchup with Nikola Jokic in the playoffs, per ESPN's Dave McMenamin:
“The Lakers have also considered dealing for players who could address specific needs in a potential playoff matchup, such as Andre Drummond of the Bulls, in anticipation of a postseason rematch with the Denver Nuggets and their big front line of Nikola Jokic and Aaron Gordon, sources said.”
Several names have been linked with the LA Lakers as they are looking to significantly improve their roster and NBA insider Shams Charania has shared some of them: "The Lakers are doing their due diligence. Dejounte Murray, Bruce Brown Jr., Tyus Jones, Terry Rozier, I'm told those are names to keep an eye on."
