Dejounte Murray

It seems that the negotiations between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Atlanta Hawks have been trending in the right direction according to The Athletic's Sam Amick who recently stated the front office led by GM Rob Pelinka has made the LA to get closer than other teams to land Dejounte Murray.

Dejounte Murray to the Lakers has ‘real legs,’ per Sam Amick “It feels like the Lakers have separated themselves from the Dejounte pack.” This has excited LA fans, especially after latest loss to the LA Clippers.

In the latest reports, the Lakers will be trading PG D'Angelo Russell with one first-round draft pick and other assets, even the name of Rui Hachimura has been linked to the possible trading package.

Still, LeBron James recently sent a message that looks to support Russell hinting that the point guard isn't going anywhere away from Los Angeles. Murray is a shooting guard, so getting rid of D'Lo and with Gabe Vincent still out because of injuries would leave the Lakers without a natural point guard unless Austin Reaves fills that role.

Dennis Schröder could also be back to LA to help in the PG position

Another name that has been linked to the Lakers is Dennis Schröder, player that was the backup point guard for the team last season, but in the offseason signed with the Toronto Raptors to have a bigger role, but he has played less minutes, Pelinka could be thinking on bringing him back.
