The 2023-24 season has turned into a nightmare for the Los Angeles Lakers in less than a month. After winning the first NBA In-Season Tournament and being on the 5th seed in the Western Conference, the team now holds a 17-18 losing record and has fallen to the 10th seed after 35 games played in the campaign.

While many purple and gold fans and the NBA media are focusing on coach Darvin Ham as the main culprit for the disastrous performances the team has had in the last few games, ESPN's Stephen A. Smith took it a step further and delivered a savage reality check to the NBA franchise.

On the 'First Take' show, Stephen A. Smith expressed his frustration with the Lakers: "The Lakers are an absolute mess. As far as I'm concerned, they've got a roster rife with individuals who have betrayed LeBron James, they have betrayed Anthony Davis, they have betrayed Jeanie Buss and Rob Pelinka."

LeBron James probably had one of his worst performances in recent history, with Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves being the only two players showing some energy. The rest of the team has been off, with growing rumors of discontent in the locker room due to coach Ham's extreme team rotation and lack of continuity in the starting lineup.

Keyshawn Johnson believes there's a reason behind LeBron James' poor performance vs. Miami

LeBron James probably had one of his worst nights on the floor of the past few years wearing the purple and gold jersey that even didn't even talk to the press after the game ended. For FS1 'Undisputed' analyst Keyshawn Johnson, "LeBron deliberately trying to get Darvin sacked," after the louse performance by the Lakers superstar.
