Losing against a shorthanded Miami Heat has been a big blow for the Los Angeles Lakers who weren't able to start their 2024 with their first at-home game of the year with the right foot that has shaken things, despite head coach Darvin Ham keep using the same excuses over and over again.
The credit Darvin Ham bought by making it to the Western Conference Finals last season and winning the In-Season Tournament is starting to run out as the team isn't capable of winning and players growing frustrated with Ham and his coaching staff.
To make things worse, coach Darvin Ham's statement on blaming his players for being out due to injuries is getting old as he said "We can't find any consistency until we get healthy. It's as simple as that."
For the Lakers fans this is a pathetic answer when you think about the team they faced this weekend night, especially having out a player like Jimmy Butler.
For Austin Reaves and Anthony Davis, the team is talented enough to overcome the different injuries, but coach Ham believes that he doesn't have his roster healthy, which is contradictory as when he has had all of them, doesn't play enough players.
