Austin Reaves is the name that most NBA teams are interested in having a trade for, according to recent reports by The Athletic's Jovan Buha, but the Los Angeles Lakers aren't interested in trading the guard who has become the team's third star.
So if a trade is coming, which players are untouchable, and which players are available to become trading assets? Anthony Davis, LeBron James, and the just mentioned Austin Reaves are untouchables, they aren't going anywhere as they are the three stars of the team.
Because of his recent performances and what happened in the last Western Conference Finals, D'Angelo Russell has found himself as a viable option to be traded, if there's any market for the point guard.
Another player that NBA teams are interested in trading for is Rui Hachimura, whose fans want to stay, but his recent injury record could make the front office want to receive a healthy player for the Japanese wing. The rest of the roster doesn't have their place in their roster guaranteed and could be traded, including the young promises of Max Christie and Jalen Hood-Schifino.
According to Sam Amick of The Athletic: "Yet as we’re reminded every year, there’s a significant difference between the mood around a coach souring and the power brokers above him deciding to make a change. With that in mind, a high-ranking Lakers source pushed back against the idea Ham is on the verge of being fired. Still, serious pressure from within is clearly being applied on Ham, and there’s no better way for him to relieve it than by winning his way out in the days and weeks to come."
