The Los Angeles Lakers have won their two last games and they are starting to look to finally trend in the right direction after beating two of the strongest teams in the Eastern Conference and the NBA, the Celtics and the NY Knicks.
Still, the Lakers are looking to make moves that can get them closer to contending for the title, and now that Jarred Vanderbilt will be missing multiple weeks the team needs a defensive player and the Lakers are looking to bring back the guard Alex Caruso.
But now the Lakers could get some competition on a potential trade for the guard, as the Golden State Warriors reportedly inquired about Alex Caruso according to information by K.C. Johnson.
"League sources indicated that even before LaVine's surgery news had broken, multiple teams, including the Golden State Warriors, had inquired about Caruso. To this point, management largely had rebuffed interest in Caruso because an internal focus centered on chasing a playoff spot," wrote Johnson.
Lakers fans should be rooting for the team to finish the 2023-24 regular season strong and make the playoffs, like the squad did a season ago. If the Lakers continue to hover around the .500 mark for the remainder of the season, it likely won’t bode well for the franchise’s chances of keeping James around beyond this season.
