While coach Darvin Ham has started to make things right by having the season opener lineup again this time against the OKC Thunder there's one big but that can still be found in the starting five and that is Taurean Prince.

The team needs Prince, the problem is that coach Darvin Ham isn't giving him the right role, as Taurean shouldn't be a starter in the Lakers and neither should be getting 30+ minutes of playtime each game night.

Instead, the Lakers head coach should invest in Rui Hachimura the way the team has been investing in Taurean Prince this season. Rui has indeed been affected by several injuries this campaign, still, he has proven to be more helpful than Prince.

The latest proof is the game against OKC Thunder, where Prince played 33 minutes, and scored only 3 points having 1/5 from 3 with a -1 in the plus/minus, Rui Hachimura in 20 minutes of playtime scored 12 points with 5/8 FG and 2/3 from 3, showing he is more reliable in 3-pointers than Prince, which is supposed to be his best skill. Ham has forgotten about what Rui brought to the team last season and has somewhat "erased" him, needs to change that.

The Lakers are only doing one game better than last season

It's not much but the Los Angeles Lakers are 20-21 at the midway point of the season, one game better than last season's 19-22 before the now famous moves in the trade deadline. AD had 27 points, 15 rebounds and five assists. LeBron James had 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists.
