The Los Angeles Lakers stood pat in the NBA's trade deadline but were quick in the buyout market signing arguably the best available player, the Point Guard Spencer Dinwiddie who before meeting with the purple and gold met with another West contender, the Dallas Mavericks.

LA is Dinwiddie's hometown so he used to live here in the offseason in a 6.9 million mansion, but now that he is playing for the Lakers he gets to live it permanently and not only for vacation which is another reason why he chose to play as a purple and gold instead of another team in the NBA.

Spencer is a good addition for the Lakers that were short on backcourt options as Gabe Vincent has been out for most of the campaign, only playing 5 games out of 56 so far. Dinwiddie is another playmaker and shot-maker for the team.

For Dinwiddie, playing in LA is a dream come true and he's ready to make the best of it and play alongside some of the best stars in the game like Anthony Davis and LeBron James. Spencer has already played twice with the purple and gold but is ready to be a great fit for the group.

Bam Adebayo chose Anthony Davis as the best Defensive Player of the League

Adebayo said at the All-Star Media Day that he wasn't picking anyone in the East, he chose Anthony Davis as the best defensive player in the league because AD blocks multiple shots per game and is a decisive factor.
