Before the Los Angeles Lakers started the 2023-24 season, the NBA media was asking for Anthony Davis to step up this campaign, to stay as healthy as he can, to be consistent, and bring his best game, as the superstar hasn't done it after winning the NBA 2020 championship title in the bubble, until now.

Despite the LA Lakers having struggled for most of this season, Anthony Davis has been consistent, stayed healthy for most of the time, and given some of his best performances on both ends and now ESPN's analyst Kendrick Perkins has opened up about it.

"Right now, AD should be at the top of Defensive Player of the Year," said Perkins, as the ESPN analyst believes the Lakers superstar deserves some recognition for what he has been capable of doing in what we have seen of this campaign.

In Monday's night performance against the Charlotte Hornets, AD had his third triple-double of his career scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists which comes to show how great he has been in both ends but especially as a defensive player. Some even want him to be a runner for the MVP award this season.

"We've been doing a good job at playing complete team basketball." Said Anthony Davis following his 3rd career triple-double. The Lakers now have a 3-game winning streak with a 27-25 record with .519 in the 9th seed.
