The 2020 NBA champion with the Los Angeles Lakers Danny Green has come out and defended Klay Thompson. The Warriors superstar is having his worst year so far in his NBA career, and in their latest loss vs. the LA Clippers, he caused controversy by ignoring Steph Curry after making a foul to Russell Westbrook and ending the team's aspirations to win the contest.

Because of all the backlash Thompson has been dealing with, trading rumors, being unable to re-sign a deal with the Golden State Warriors, and fans going hard on the shooter, the former Lakers player Danny Green recently said that any player can have a bad year.

"Klay's getting a lot of hell on social media, which is nuts. This is a guy who's earned the right to have a rough year once in a while. He's had a great decade-long playing career. Bad years happen sometimes." Said Green.

Things have been so bad with the Warriors that their front office attempted to make a move to team up Stephen Curry with LeBron James at Golden State in the trade deadline but the Lakers superstar isn't tradeable and is set to continue playing in LA for the next season according to agent Rich Paul.

NBA insider believes the Warriors will pursue LeBron again in the Summer

“You can’t blame the Warriors for trying, and I’ll tell you this," said ESPN's Zach Lowe, "I don’t think the Warriors are done trying because like Steph [Curry] said, why not pick up the phone and keep on trying?”
