The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to strengthen their backcourt after most of the season the only point guard available has been D'Angelo Russell because of Gabe Vincent's injuries and left knee surgery he underwent a couple of months ago.

While many rumors and reports have the Lakers trying to make a trade with Vincent as an asset, NBA insider Jake Fischer from Yahoo! Sports has revealed the return window date for the point guard is still one month away.

“Lakers guard Gabe Vincent, who’s become included in Los Angeles’ outgoing trade conversations, sources said, appears on track to return by early March. Vincent underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee during the final days of December. He was given an 8-10 week recovery period and has so far been recuperating on schedule, sources said.” Wrote Jake Fischer.

With Gabe Vincent's return approaching, and current Jarred Vanderbilts injury, the plans for the Lakers organization have changed and they could now focus on getting a wing over a point guard, especially with D'Angelo Russell significantly improving his game.

The Lakers vs. Nuggets games will be a huge night for purple and gold fans

This Thursday night the Lakers will have the unveiling of Kobe Bryant's most anticipated statue and also will be facing the NBA's reigning champions the Denver Nuggets. Last five games they faced each other, including the WCF, the Nuggets have won, and the Lakers need to give a round night to their fans.
