D'Angelo Russell was one of the main factors that helped the Los Angeles Lakers change the path they were following last season, turning things around, making the group to be one of the best in the league, and making it to the playoffs to the WCF.
The team got swept by the Denver Nuggets but for the time that D'Angelo Russell and the rest of the players that made it to the team at last year's trade deadline, it was an impressive achievement.
Still, fans and the organization weren't sure about D'Lo's capacity as he didn't play right vs. Denver, but once rumors started on him about being traded at this season's deadline the point guard began to give some of his best performances.
The Lakers are now rumored to land a superstar next summer, but D'Lo since returning to the starting lineup, as coach Ham tried to bench him, the point guard has been averaging 24.2 PPG, 24.2 PPG, 6.2 APG, 46 3PT%, 4.3 3P - 9.2 3PA, 61 TS% with a 10-5 record.
"I am a Laker and I'm happy and been very happy being a Laker the last six years and hopefully it stays that way," James said. "But I don't have the answer to how long it is or which uniform I'll be in. Hopefully [it] is with the Lakers. It's a great organization, so many greats. But we'll see."
