A new "Battle for LA" will be held tonight with the Lakers being 2-0 against the LA Clippers this season, but tonight will be a bigger challenge as the purple and gold won't be having their best player on the court: LeBron James.

Without LeBron James, once again D'Angelo Russell and Anthony Davis will have to step up and lead the team to beat the Clippers as they are looking to get a two-game-winning streak after their latest win over the Portland Trail-Blazers.

Coach Darvin Ham has been struggling with their starting lineups and team rotation, this time around he has finally betting on continuity, but without LeBron James, the lineup will be changing again, this time only by one player as Rui Hachimura will be the superstar's replacement.

Hachimura has been struggling this campaign with several injuries but when he has been playing on the court he has been able to make a difference for the team.

Darvin Ham spoke on LeBron James' injury situation

With information via Spectrum SportsNet reporter Mike Trudell: "Darvin Ham said LeBron, who’s out tonight, is “day to day” moving forward. They’re trying to be proactive with his ankle/health. The Lakers are 2-2 in the games he’s missed. They’re expected to start Reaves, Russell, Prince, Hachimura, and Davis in LeBron’s absence."
