The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to build a better roster for the next campaign after falling in the WCF against the now NBA champions, the Denver Nuggets, after only four games.
The roster is strong, but some areas need improvement; GM Rob Pelinka and coach Darvin Ham know that and are currently working on fixing those problems.
Pelinka wanted to sign Chris Paul, but the Warriors traded Jordan Poole for the PG vet. Still, they could be losing the Forward Draymond Green, who has declined his 27 million player option and could be rejecting to play again with Curry and now play with his close friend LeBron James instead.
The Lakers could offer Green around 30 million to team him up with his long-time friend LeBron James. Having Green and Anthony Davis on the same team will significantly improve the group's defense, which is one of Ham's priorities.
If Draymond Green's arrival has LeBron James' approval, Pelinka could go for the Warriors star, even when they said they didn't have plans to go after a big name this offseason.
