Even when reports have the Lakers as the favorites to get the Bulls star Zach LaVine, a new suitor has emerged that could 'steal' the trade from LA

Despite the Los Angeles Lakers team looking better and better with each game, as the group is creating chemistry and while shooting is still away from ideal, it will eventually start to drop, NBA insider Jovan Buha had the organization interested in signing one or more of Chicago Bulls' Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso.

LaVine has been the strongest rumor, with the reports even suggesting D'Angelo Russel been the trade asset for LA to negotiate with Chicago plus other assets to complete the trading package.

Still, The Athletic's Shams Charania has now reported that a new suitor has emerged who is interested in making a trade for the Chicago Bulls star who has expressed his interest in moving away from the franchise.

“I’m told the Raptors are also expected to have some level of interest in LaVine,” Chams reported. “Masai Ujiri is always aggressive in his approach, and it would be interesting, a team with Zach Lavine if you were able to keep guys like Pascal Siakam, Scottie Barnes, OG Anunoby. The Raptors are a team to watch in this as well.”

What separates the Lakers from making a trade with the Bulls

The main problem the Lakers are facing is time for the trade, as the saga between LaVine and the Bulls is quickly becoming a drama that is calling for a quick departure from both sides, the organization doesn't have a trading asset until December 15th when they will be able to officially make a move.
