One of the best players in the league right now and a former Laker hasn't been able to find a new team to play with.

The Los Angeles Lakers had on their roster for the 2021-2022 season the 38 years old veteran Carmelo Anthony, and while he didn't give his best performance, he wasn't bad either. The NBA Skills Coach Chris Brickley believes Melo still has a talent for an NBA team to use, especially after a productive last season with the purple and gold.

Brickley posted n his Twitter account and wrote the following: "Melo is ready, he's been ready….He could help MANY teams. Also, to anyone that says @carmeloanthony isn't in the league bcuz of defense….well….he had the best defensive rating of his career last season."

Melo continues his quest to find a team for the season that is about to begin, as he doesn't contemplate retiring soon. This marks the third time he is ‘jobless in his career. However, Melo still has much to give, like a role player that a contending team could use.

Nevertheless, Melo continues to work out on his own as he is waiting for an opportunity to be opened. The most recent rumors had the Boston Celtics interested in the former Laker, but now they have faded away. Still, with the trade open until 2023, there is some time for Melo to find a new team that requires him.

Another former Laker is thinking of retiring after not finding a team to play with

Carmelo Anthony is not the only NBA player that last year wore the purple and gold jersey and can'tisn'tisn't find a team to play with for the next campaign. Dwight Howard is in the same position, waiting for an opportunity to come, but he understands the harsh reality and is seriously considering retiring sooner than expected.
