Finally, some movement is happening in the Los Angeles Lakers, and while there is still no sign of a new addition to the team's roster, they are already creating some space to get some.
Lakers GM Rob Pelinka has waived the shooter Matt Ryan, who helped the team get their second win of the season against the New Orleans Pelicans with a beat buzzer shot. In the last second of the game. The game went to Overtime.
Still, Ryan hasn't played that much with the team, been most of the time on the bench, and hasn't also been the 3-point scorer the Lakers need, so it makes sense for his release.
Let's hope Pelinka releases him to bring a significant shooter and not to bring more Point Guards like he has done this campaign.
There are at least a couple of names that haven't met the expectations set by the coaching staff, and it has been seen as they have been losing minutes with each game. Those names are Damian Jones and Juan Toscano-Anderson; even Kendrick Nunn is a potential player to be traded or released.
