The Lakers are looking into the free market to get a reliable center, especially after waiving Mo Bamba, but Gabriel could follow that path

We are officially in the NBA free agency market, and with that, countless player's names have been thrown around all the teams in the league, and Lakers are the one that gets most of the rumors, but there's one player that is caught particular interest in the fans and the team.

After yesterday LA made some room in their cap space and MLE by waiving Mo Bamba and Shaquille Harrison; also, by declining Malik Beasley's team option, the team is pursuing a new and reliable center.

One surprising target is Ivica Zubac, who the LA Clippers have revealed are interested in trading for him. Pelinka and coach Ham could be willing to trade Wenyen Gabriel to bring, for around 6 million, the center Zubac.

To information by Jake L. Fischer, "Los Angeles has also made starting center Ivica Zubac available in trade talks, sources said, with an idea of retaining veteran big man Mason Plumlee in his stead. The Clippers are expected to resist including any prized young player, such as Terance Mann or Bones Hyland, league sources told Yahoo Sports."

Two surprising free agents stars are having meetings with the Lakers

One name that the Lakers fans never thought to hear to have a possibility of becoming a Laker is Dillon Brooks, who recently trashed talk LeBron James in the playoffs, which backfired on him big time. The other is Kyrie Irving, who the Lakers said wasn't interested in signing the PG star anymore. Two major surprises, but nothing is guaranteed.
