The Lakers have lost in the season opener against the Denver Nuggets and the purple and gold legend Shaquille O'Neal has gone hard on them

The Los Angeles Lakers got a great offseason, at least that's what everyone thought at first, but after all the high expectations set on the team, they fell hard on the first game against the NBA champions the Denver Nuggets.

It may just be game one, but most of the purple and gold mistakes from last season, especially the WCF mistakes vs. Denver have repeated and the team wasn't able to hold up against Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.

The Lakers legend Shaquille O'Neal reacted to the Lakers' loss and said it is inexcusable for the team to trail every single time to then expect to make a "heroic" comeback, the team shouldn't go down on the score every night.

Shaq with the reality check to the Lakers after the first season loss: “You can’t go down 16-18 points and then try to make heroic comebacks. Lakers need to come out and play faster.”

Coach Darvin Ham disappoints on the season opener

The same mistakes that coach Darvin Ham made that prevented the team from being better than the Nuggets have been repeated. Ham takes out the players that have a run to kill the momentum. Darvin needs to get better and fast.
