The Lakers will be battling themselves to get a better-starting record in the upcoming 2023-24 season vs. the last campaign

The Los Angeles Lakers have a deeper and better team roster overall than the one they had when the 2022-23 season started, which began with a 2-8 record in the first ten games.

The purple and gold were able to turn things around and ended in the 7th seed in the regular season to make its way to the playoffs via the Play-In tournament. The Lakers made it to the WCF where they were eliminated by the Nuggets.

This time around, GM Rob Pelinka and HC Darvin Ham have kept the core of that team and improved with new signings and young talent to become a contending team.

Things are looking bright, despite having some strong rivals in the first ten games, but here at Lakers Zone we predict that the team will be able to get a record around 6-4 in the first ten games of the season. Some of the rivals are going to be the Nuggets, Clippers, Suns, Orlando, and more.

The season opener will be a rematch vs. the Denver Nuggets

The Lakers fans are craving a rematch against the Denver Nuggets, this time around will be at the season opener when Nikola Jokic and co. will be receiving their rings. The purple and gold will be trying to "ruin" the Nuggets' night with a win after being swept in the past WCF series.
