The Los Angeles Lakers have been struggling this season despite having a winning record of 11-9, with many players being injured, their 3-point shooting, and also with rebounds, and reports have been pointing to a possible return of Alex Caruso to the franchise.

These reports and rumors have been amped by the fact that the Chicago Bulls could be entering a rebuild as they are shopping their guard Zach LaVine, and LA has been interested, but NBA insider Jovan Buha has reported that the front office is targeting more on the direction of Alex Caruso and DeMar DeRozan.

With that in mind, there's a Lakers-Bull proposal that could work out for both franchises, as the Lakers would be receiving their former guard Alex Caruso.

The Bulls would be receiving Gabe Vincent, the rookie Jalen Hood-Schifino, and a 2029 first-round pick swap (Bulls get a more favorable pick).  Of course, this trade can't be completed until December 15th, as Vincent was signed by LA this offseason, and isn't eligible to be traded until that date.

Why the Chicago Bulls could go for it

According to an NBA executive, the Lakers wouldn’t be willing to part with a first-round pick. However, if they want to acquire Caruso, it will take one. A compromise would be to make it a pick swap and include a young player like Hood-Schifino. This could be enticing for the Bulls as they get a young rookie guard who can develop. Hood-Schifino was drafted by the Lakers with the 17th overall pick.
