After the LA Lakers won the 2020 championship title, we have yet to see the best of Anthony Davis; between injuries and playing as a center instead of his usual and natural role as a Power Forward, AD hasn't been the same.

In the past season, we saw some moments of greatness from the Lakers' size star, but in the playoffs, especially in the WCF, Davis failed to meet expectations, and the team got swept against Nikola Jokic and his Nuggets.

Coach Darvin Ham used him all season as a center, even when AD stated on several occasions he feels more comfortable in his natural role as a PF; because of that, the team has gotten a new center so Davis can smile back and return to his natural position.

Last season, size center Mo Bamba was out due to injuries. Also, Wenyen Gabriel and Tristan Thompson failed to be the center the team needed. Because of that, Pelinka and Ham signed with a two-way contract the undrafted young center Colin Castleton, who is set to become the Lakers' future center and help AD play back at his natural role to bring his best performance and contend for a new NBA championship title.

The Lakers could also land another experienced Center

One of the best centers in the league to become a free agent is the former Laker Brook Lopez, the size player who could be back to LA and help Anthony Davis pursue the 18th championship trophy for the franchise.
