Anthony Davis reveals the extra motivation the Lakers have to win the In-Season Tournament

For the 2023-24 NBA season, the league decided to incorporate a new "In-Season Tournament," mode to add an extra for the fans, and the teams and get the interest of everyone with a couple of extra games.

The Lakers had this Tuesday night a great performance against the Memphis Grizzlies on what was their second In-Season Tournament game they now are 2-0 and leading their group.

Anthony Davis didn't try to obfuscate the fact that the in-season tournament's cash prize is a real lure for the Lakers: "$500 [thousand] sounds real good to us. It’s going to bring that juice, you know what I mean?

I heard one of our players, I’m not going to say who but he was like, ‘Man,’ when we beat Phoenix, ‘That’s one step closer to this $500. I’ve never had that before.’ So it’s like, that’s a little extra motivation."

The Los Angeles Lakers will have a back-to-back game tonight

Tonight the LA Lakers will be facing the Sacramento Kings on what is the second leg of their second back-to-back of the season. Following the great win over the Grizzlies, the team will be looking to bring back some of that excitement into tonight's game.
