The Lakers SG Austin Reaves has re-signed with the Lakers but has an ultimate goal for the team

The Los Angeles Lakers SG Austin Reaves is currently training with Team USA and has shown great things, after having a breakout season in the past NBA season.

Reaves became a top priority for the Lakers as he hit free agency earlier in the offseason, but was fast to re-sign the max extension for four years and 56 million.

Austin could've signed with the San Antonio Spurs or the Houston Rockets but decided to stay because he has a specific goal in mind, to win a championship in LA.

"The main goal for the Lakers is to win a championship,” Reaves said. “All I care about, all we care about, is to raise another banner in the rafters.”

The Lakers are preparing for the future

It seems that the Lakers have locked the core roster for the next 4+ years after re-signing and extending players like Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, D'Angelo Russell, Max Christie, and especially Anthony Davis.
