The Lakers continue to lose games this season and Austin Reaves has sent a message as he has been one of the few players to bring their A-game

Things aren't going great for the Los Angeles Lakers after winning the In-Season Tournament final. Since becoming the IST champions, the team has a 2-7 record, despite recently snapping out of a 4-game losing streak after beating the OKC Thunder, the team fell to the Celtics, still, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Austin Reaves have given some great performances.

The question then goes into what has been wrong with the team, and while there's only one answer, it goes into the rest of the players that haven't been able to bring their best game and coach Darvin Ham still not knowing which role to give to which players.

Despite coming off the bench, Austin Reaves has set himself as the third star of the team, and he has given a solid performance after solid performance, despite the loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Lakers guard was one of the standouts as he scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists with 2 steals in 27 minutes of playtime, compared to the 17 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists D'Angelo Russell had in 38 minutes of playtime.

Austin Reaves has now been clear as he sent a strong message, he wants to win games and doesn't care about fame or other stuff: "I feel good. Confident, playing the game the right way... Now it's just about figuring out how to win these games, that's all that matters to me. I don't care about stats, I don't care about all the notoriety I just want to win games."

Anthony Davis believes the team will soon get out of their slump

Anthony Davis: "It’s the NBA season. There’s going to be ups, there’s going to be downs. Right now we’re in that down period .... We just got to continue to fight and continue to play hard. Play with some effort, and some energy and we’re treating Saturday as a must-win."
