By James Brown
Seems Bronny James doesn’t want to be overshadowed by his father. Only two days ago, LeBron James signed an extension that broke the internet. Before that, his son was everything we talked about. Now he has given us another highlight. However, unlike the last we have seen, this does nothing but remind us of his father in one of the most iconic LeBron James plays ever. Bronny blocked a shot that helped his team to come back against the Stella Azzurra.
Once more, LeBron James’ son has shown us how special he can be. News had come of his commitment to a college program. We all thought that he would try to commit to the draft as soon as possible so that he could play with his father in the NBA. But now it seems he might be eligible to join the NBA by 2025. By then, LeBron will again be a free agent at age 41. LeBron might be on his way out of the League by then. We can only hope we can see both players together in the same team.More Lakers News
The Lakers still want to add a playmaker to their roster
For Skip Bayless, LeBron James will not win another Championship
Bronny’s block for the CBC against the Italian team does nothing but remind us of LeBron James during the 2016 NBA Finals. The king came down with one of the most iconic moments in NBA history when his Cleveland Cavaliers were down 3-1 against the 72-9 Golden State Warriors. LeBron brought the Cavs back to life as he delivered a chase-down block on Andre Iguodala to lead the Cavs to their first championship in 50 years.
Now we have Bronny doing very similar things to what LeBron has already shown us. So far there is no reaction from the ‘King’ regarding his son's highlight, but after seeing what he posted after Bronny’'s dunk and the video of both his kids playing together broke the internet, one can only imagine how this next one will be. Hopefully, he sees the reminiscent of the play to the one he did a couple of years back, just as we do.
Right now, it seems Bronny is going to commit to a college program. There have been reports that he wants to play for at least one year. This means that the latest time he can be eligible for the Draft will be 2025. LeBron's contract with the Lakers ends in the same year. They might be able to extend the King once more, but the Purples and Gold don’t have a first-round pick until 2027. After seeing Bronny’s highlights, he undoubtedly will be a first rounder.
