The Lakers' signing of Cam Reddish made the wish of many fans a reality, but the Forward could have a smaller role than expected

While the Los Angeles Lakers biggest star and the best player is LeBron James and no one will be able to bench him until he retires, the GM Rob Pelinka signed the young SF Cam Reddish and many fans believed he would be the no-brainer substitute for the king, but coach Ham has other plans.

Since last season the name of Cam Reddish started to be rumored to become a Laker, the fans immediately went crazy for it, as he may not be a proven player, but his promising talent still gives hope to the fans for him to become an NBA star.

With information via The Athletic's Jovan Buha, now we know that coach Darvin Ham doesn't have the plan to give him too many playing times immediately, as Reddish won't be the first sub for LeBron James when the King leaves the court.

That role will go to the next season's sophomore Max Christie who just had a great Summer League tournament and has proven to be NBA ready and wants to have his breakout campaign with LA.

Max Christie is one of the future promises of the Lakers

The Lakers' last year's draft pick Max Christie didn't have enough playing time with the team in the last campaign but is about to change as he will become part of the squad's rotation thanks to his game growth and improvement.
