The Lakers Japanese wing Rui Hachimura hasn't stopped working out all the offseason, which has a reason to be, as he recently spoke after Day 3 of training camp, what is meant to be part of the purple and gold franchise.
Being on an NBA team like the LA Lakers you are always looking to win a championship title, as Hachimura explained the same didn't happen in his time with the Washington Wizards, in that team they had a different kind of mentality and goals.
“I love those big games. I love those big stages. Honestly before with the Wizards, we didn't really have a championship goal...With this team, of course, we have championship, bigger goals. The motivation is different.” Said Hachimura.
The Lakers have a winning history, so far, they have won 17th championships and are pursuing the No. 18 for the franchise, the current roster wants to make history by winning it.
Hachimura is going all-in this season, going that extra mile, as he has been close to assistant coach Phil Handy and also becoming LeBron James' understudy, working since early in the morning and even traveling to tag in the King's workout. Now that training camp has started, Hachimura and James have been the last at the practice facility working on extra shots and skillsets.
