Carmelo Anthony's reaction to Austin Reaves showing off Melo's iconic celebration

Carmelo Anthony is an NBA legend and also had great success with Team USA, as the now-retired star was part of the 2008 Redeem team. Melo was present in Manila to see the semifinal game between Team USA and Germany.

Austin Reaves, a current Lakers star, gave a great performance, still, he wasn't able to do much more to help the team defeat Germany, even when the Lakers guard scored 21 points to be the second-best scorer of the U.S. just behind Anthony Edwards.

Reaves had a coming-off-the-bench role, still, he was one of the best players on the court, and at one moment gave a great honor to Carmelo Anthony who was part of the crowd present in Manila.

After scoring a bucket, Austin Reaves had to show off the iconic Carmelo Anthony celebration, Melo was present and then took his social media to return the gesture by writing "#AR15 with the salute emoji."

Austin Reaves will face Dillon Brooks for the gold

The fans at FIBA World Cup were hoping to see Team USA vs. Canada at the finals, and they are going to be able to see that match but will be for the bronze medal and not for the gold. The contest also will be a rematch for Austin Reaves and Dillon Brooks as both players saw each other in the 2023 playoffs first round where the Lakers took the win.
