Many Lakers players have been putting up the work this offseason with their intention of fighting for a roster spot with LA and not only that, but one rookie wants to follow Austin Reaves' path.
This past 2023 NBA Draft the team selected players with their picks, but also signed D'Moi Hodge and Colin Castleton this summer. The latter has been putting up the work.
Castleton had a great Summer League and also was able to send a message to coach Ham that he is NBA-ready despite being a league player.
Colin has been practicing his 3-point shooting, something he has done before, and recently it has started for him. With better shooting, Castleton is one of the most interesting rookies set to be part of the NBA.
The Lakers' young player Max Christie is in a similar position, as he recently gave wings and more. Christie had a great Summer League and could work on getting themselves ready for the NBA.
